Apply now for the 2010 Snort Scholarship

Sourcefire wants to help two Snort users with their education. We're now accepting applications for the 6th Annual Snort Scholarship.

In 2010 Sourcefire will award two $5,000 scholarships to university students studying Snort in the classroom or using Snort in other ways as part of a higher education program. The application period ends on April 15, 2010.

To apply simply complete the online application.

Winners will be notified on or about May 1, 2010 via email.

New Ubuntu Setup Guides Posted

A couple of new user contributed setup guides for Ubuntu have been posted. These guides cover setting up Snort 2.8.4 and 2.8.5 on Ubuntu 9.1 and Ubuntu 8.04. Come See Us at RSA - Booth 1831

If you are attending the RSA Conference this year, be sure to stop by the Sourcefire booth (#1831). Don’t worry…It will be easy to find us. Just look for our life-size Snort pig greeting our booth visitors! But that is not the only way our booth will stand out at this year’s show.

When you get to our booth, you will get some free Snort tokens to play a few arcade games from your younger days…Pac-Man, Asteroids, and Tron. If you don't have one yet, you can pick up a 2010 Snort calendar. You'll also be able to catch in-booth presentations by Marty Roesch and Matt Watchinski of the VRT.
