Snort Scholarship - 2005 Winners

*To be eligible, the university must be one of the many covering Snort in the Computer Science curriculum or utilizing Snort products to protect the university network.

Present employees and volunteers of Sourcefire Inc., and their family members, are ineligible to enter. Applications filled out online will receive online confirmations. Sourcefire will hold the funds until a valid winning entry is selected by Ernst & Young LLP, an independent agent. Winners will be selected no later than 3/31/06. Sourcefire will notify the winners via email May 1, 2006. If unable to do so, Sourcefire will send written notification via US mail to the address of record on the winner’s application. If Sourcefire is unable to make contact with the winner within 14 calendar days of the drawing, another winner will be selected. The prize will be considered ordinary income for tax purposes. The winners agrees that all sales, use, and other taxes or fees are his or her full and complete responsibility. Further, the winner agrees not to hold Sourcefire liable for any resultant action derived from the use, transport, or enjoyment of the prize. It is the responsibility of the entrant to comply with any federal laws or regulations as well as any specific to the state or province in which the entrant resides. In the event of a dispute of the rules of this raffle, the laws of the State of Maryland will preside. Entering constitutes your agreement to allow your likeness and name to be used in any Sourcefire publications, which may or may not include appearing on the Sourcefire and/or Snort® website(s), promoting this scholarship. Sourcefire reserves the right to refuse an entry if any of these conditions is not met.
