forum search results have no formatting

When I perform a search in the forms, the results look to be valuable, but the posts have all formatting stripped out, which makes for difficult reading, especially configuration directives!
I'm tried both Firefox 2.0.0.12, and IE 6.0 on Windows 2000, FWIW.
To replicate:
try visiting http://www.snort.org/reg-bin/forums.cgi?forum_id=2&topic_id=5631&highlight=ipv6
or
1. click on the "forums" link on the left;
2. log in if necessary;
3. type in the string "ipv6" to the search box at the top right of the forum;
4. the link above is listed as the 3rd result from the top when I ran this search today (2008-03-13).
5. the bottom most response shows an example of what I mean by "results have no formatting".
After some more experimenting, the variable (function?) "highlight" passed to the cgi script above seems to be the culprit, because the following link, without "&highlight=ipv6":
http://www.snort.org/reg-bin/forums.cgi?forum_id=2&topic_id=5631
shows the formatting properly.
Hopefully this is enough information to fix this issue.
