What about Aanval free snort console management?

hi there,
i'd like to gather your opinions about the Aanval product for snort management.
Do you know the MIDAS project which seems to be like the Aanval one about functionnalities but not about support or community which is much better for the first one...
Could you advice me very soon cause i got a decision to take: installing Aanval console or MIDAS one with the snort v2.3.3 sensor on Fedora core 2 ?
MIDAS project seems to be sleeping right or wrong?
