reporting most severe alerts

Hi guys

i'm working with snort and acid for several years in some installations, but right now i need to show only the most severe alerts in acid, it's ok to send the others alerts to alert files (but not to mysql).

In other way could be interesting email only some alerts.

is posible to make this with some third party product, maybe some of them? and not to modifying acid?
