I have ported over several programs from linux to windows

Posted by shaggy on May 08, 2005 07:22:27

I have ported over several programs from linux to windows within the past two days. These are third-party tools found on this website under the "download" link on the left hand side navigation. These tools that I have ported over are gonna be used "AS-IS". I have tested some of these and other's I haven't. These programs are saved as both .zip (winzip) and .rar (winrar). The following programs are ported over........
1.) SnortPHP
2.) Base 1.0
3.) Base 0.9.7-plugin-v1
4.) Snortalog v2.3
5.) Snort Snarf 050314.1
6.) oinkmaster 1.1
7.) snortcenter v0.9.4
8.) snortreport 1.11
9.) baitnswitch-b.2.1
10.) ACID 0.9.6b23 (tested and work on my system)
11.) PHPlot 5.0rc2 (tested and works on my system)

I appologize but I've been in download and unpacking and resaving heaven so for the ppl that made these programs thank you. I didn't keep track of the owners nor anything like that so thanks for making these programs whom ever you are. I'll give credit were credit is due.

If anyone is intrested in any of the above programs for a windows system/box please post off of this post and let me know. I will give some what of tech support for the above listed programs BUT!!! I would you suggest that I start several topics (one for each of the above listed programs) and you post your questions and comments off of that because the people on this board have been with snort for a lot longer then I have and they can offer you better tech support then I can.

Your questions, comments and concerns are greatly appericated. Thanks.

Hi-

I am not clear on what you have done here? Most of these apps, if not all, already support Windows in their current form. I know for a fact that BASE does as we have do not use any functions that prevent the use of Windows.

Also, I am sure that the contact information for each of the authors of the tools is available to you in the archives that you re-packaged. If you did not include it when you did the repackage, you are probably going to have some trouble, since I know that most of these application include the contact info as part of the copyright.

Could you also provide contact information the next time you say to contact you off list?

I hope that what ever you are trying to accomplish, that you realize that all of us authors are willing to help you, just give us a shout. My email address is kjohnson@secureideas.net.

Thanks
