Judy Novak Presenting at HRSUG

Posted by sfjennifer on June 05, 2006 07:43:47

Judy Novak of the Sourcefire VRT will be presenting on "Target-Based TCP Stream Segment Overlaps" at the next Hampton Roads SUG meeting. Judy's presentation discusses current research and future functionality of Snort's upcoming stream5 TCP preprocessor. She will demonstrate how overlapping TCP segments can be used to identify a remote operating system by crafting packets using a tool known as scapy. This talk assumes the audience has a basic understanding of TCP.
