Why the snort will be auto. exit after few minutes

I have enter the following command to run my snort:
snort -c .\etc\snort.conf -r .\dump\outside.tcpdump
The network log will be import to mysql. But everytime it have only store a few records into mysql.
The are the ending message of snort:
-*> Snort! <*-
