How Can I insstall SNORT to my VPS

I have just download the last version 2.3.0 of SNORT at the download link snort http://www.snort.org/dl/

But I can't know, how can I intall it, and configure it to DDOS Attack attack or the others Hack Attaacks. Can you help me?

huh? you want to make snort dos people? look under the docs section and you will find several install docs, they will walk you through isntalling and configuring snort
