snort exiting with system error 1067, Win XP Pro SP1

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone has any ideas abou getting snort to run as a service on Win XP Pro SP1..
I've had it running on W2K...but the same config throws the error mentioned..
the sensor_name parameter checks out as does the MySQL dbase user name and Pwd..the MySQL dbase is running on the localhost..I can connect to the database via command line using the configured snort user name & Pwd
I'm running Wincap 3.0..tried Wincap 3.1 Beta4, no dice throws Pcap error..
I rebooted after uninstalling Wincap 3.1 and then installed 3.0 from the snort command line I can run snort -v -ix..and get packets fine...no errors..
Snort version is Snort 2 3 ORC2.exe.
anyone got anymore ideas ?..

hi guys, I resolved the problem, as I should have done in the first place, I rebuilt with v2.3 and everything works as expected. cheers..
