snort and RH/FC's kernel headers.

I am hoping someone coudl explain why on RH/FC systems, the glibc-kernheaders do not seem to provide what snort requires. A "work around" can be found here: http://snort-inline.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html however, this is not ideal for building reproducable packages.

I have been trying to build FC rpms for snort, but have not gotten past this issue.

The error message is printed in the FAQ URL above. I am looking for a while to get this resolved (from within FC or where if needed).

I appreciate any enlightenment on this issue I can get :)
