Porting snort version 2.4.3

Hello comrades..
We are basically using snort.
currently we have snort-vesion-2.3.0.
I am supposed to port it to 2.4.3(latest).
What are the changes that I am supposed to make...
Please help me.. I am in a total fix

I am assuming by now you would have integrated 2.4.3.
If you have done this on Solaris 9, could you specify what other componets were integrated, e.g., mysql, acid etc
