Auto updating snort rules

Hai all,
I am using snort for the first time.I want to set snort to automatically update its rule. Is it possible.If yes how.

There is a utility called oinkmaster that can be configured to update the rules for you. They still recommend manually invoking the utility though. It can be found at this address:
