Need Help in getting snort running on Solaris 8

Howdy!
I just sucessfully installed snort on a Solaris 8 box, but need to try to get it running and ultimatley port the data from it over to a syslog server. I looked for the installation file in /usr/local/bin and could not find anything listed as snort . Can some please point me to a link or disscusion on getting snort set up to run on a Solaris 8 box please?
