Nmap DoS???

I have an IPCop firewall with Snort running on it. Over the last 3 days, I have been getting a ton of hits in my logs: ICMP PING NMAP (sid 469).
The strange element with these scans is the fact that there are 30 or so source IP addresses.
Is this a DoS attack attempt? |
