Snort FC4

I've instaled Snort 2.4.3 and the latest rules "snortrules-snapshot-CURRENT" but when i try to run snort it gives me:
Initializing rule chains...
ERROR: ./snort.conf(182) => Unknown rule type: dynamicpreprocessor
Fatal Error, Quitting..

I'm a beginner at snort also, having only configured and set up snort-2.4 with base, etc all of 2 x.
But I am willing to bet it has something to do with the fact that the dynamic preprocessing is a new feature and is called in the snort.conf file. So probably one of two things:
1) Old ruleset (w/o rules needed for newest ver.)
2) you installed the latest version of snort incorrectly and did not configure something that is needed to utilize the dyn_preproc feature.
if either of those reasons are it, someone let me know as I am curious if I am right.

Solaris 9 on E250.
I ran into the same problem.
After doing "make", i ran "make check". In the output, it said to be sure to run:
libtool --finish /usr/local/lib/snort_dynamicproprocessor
After running the above and then doing "make install", snort started fine.

Oops - it should be:

I missed it completely. neoon: you are using the wrong ruleset for your snort version. download the ruleset for 2.4.3 and I bet it will work.
myself, I can't get the dynamic preprocessors to work with 2.6.0
cue the circus music......... |
