I am using Linux Suse 8.0. I want to install snort for Linux suse 8.0. I am beginer. How will I begin? Can you help and guide me?

Me using Sguil with Suse 10.0 but urghh.. cannot seem to get the barnyard portion working.
I wish you have more luck than me.
