drwatson error with snort v2.6.1.1 on win2k3 machine

I just upgraded to the latest rev and I get the following error after about 5 minutes of running

The application, C:\Snort23\bin\snort.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 12/08/2006 @ 09:49:06.179 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 04B614B0 (sf_dcerpc)

any clue what might be causing this

Yes, they have a problem which they can't seem to resolve in the dce_rpc.dll. I reported this to them when I tested 2.6.1 and sent them lots of data. I then upgraded to 2.6.1.1 and got the very same error and reported it again. That was several weeks ago, and I've not heard anything from them since then.

I have gone back to using 2.4.5, as at least it works without crashing all the time on Windows.
