SNORT + BASE has graph problems

hello,
I am running snort and base on windows 2000 server on VMWare.
I am runnign snort and i am seeing alert on BASE web interface i.e 127.0.0.1\base\main.php
When i click graph alert it does not anything,if i go and twear the base_graph_common.php file.If i leave the default then it says error perar:Image_Graph not installed. I don't have any thing with pear.
So what is th eproble, because yesterday when i tried with Pear::Image_graph it still gave me the same error.
I have spent nearly four days tryin out on different machines -Windows, RH 9 and FC4, nothing seems to work.
Please anybodu help
