Snort Error

Hi,
Teaching myself how to use snort and already come across my first snafu. When i try to fire it up, i get the following error message:
Proceedure Entry Point PacketGetNetInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library Packet.dll
I am using WinPcap 3.1. Is this the problem?

if you uninstall the 3.1 and install 3.0 or earlier your problems should go away. As far as I know you won't really be sacaraficing anything by doing so. I read some details about added support for DSL I think, but that does nothing for me. |
