No alerts in BASE

I've just installed Snort on a Dell 1650 w/ RH ES4 via Patrick Harper's install guide, however when I launch BASE there are no alerts/statics. I'm totally new to this so I have no idea where to begin looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

what are you conected to? is the sniffing interface on something that will get you some traffic? also, are you sure snort is running? thanks |

Got it working. The password I was using had an illegal special character for MySQL. Also do you have an ETA on installing Barnyard, and an addition to updating the rules? Thank you for the reply. Your direction are the best I've seen out there. |
