Snort Mail info?

Hi
I've installed Snort on a computer many months ago. It's up and running. My only problem now is that when I get the daily mail. It doesn't say when the
intrusion happened only in which interval. Do I have to check it up manually or can I configure it to say more in the mail?

Would appreciate help on this one, since I have to report it to abuse.

Just found it in /var/log/snort/alert.X.gz
